RADAR Electronic Warfare
RADAR and Electronic Warfare
This 4 day course gives a general overview of the basic RADAR techniques and the Electronic Warfare techniques that may be used in an operational environment. Without going too deeply into the complex mathematics associated with modern radar systems the course looks at the operation of Radars, antenna and the associated EW techniques. The course can also be tailored to suit specific requirements.
The course security classifcation is UNCLASSIFIED and uses open data.
Objective:
On completion of the Fundamentals course the participant will have a general understanding of:
Airborne and Ground based Radar systems.
Monopulse, Doppler, FMCW and secondary radars
Electronic warfare techniques associated with various radar types
Towed decoys, active ECM and denial techniques.
A basic understanding of RF techniques and EM propagation is required for this course. Completion of either the 2 day RF fundamentals or 5 day RF engineering courses will equip the candidate with the knowledge to gain
The course is modular in design so can be tailored to suit any specific requirements, such as a greater depth for specialist aspects, operation and specified test equipment etc, for on-
Applicable Personnel
The 4 day Radar and Electronic Warfare course is suitable for the following:
Sales staff, Sales engineers, Field engineers, Application engineers, Engineering management, Project management, and any staff who are likely to have an Radar and EW aspect to their role. This course can also act as a lead in to various University EW courses.
