Gaddon offers electronics and RF training courses both on site and at various central locations worldwide. In the UK we run open courses on London and in Penistone South Yorkshire. For closed, classified or specialist courses we can run them on site or at a location to suit you. This flexibility allows you to have specialised training courses run where you can maximise your staff attendance either on your own premises, or at some convenient or specialised location.
In Australia we run courses in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney in addition to on-site anywhere in Australia.
In the USA we run courses in Boston Ma and Houston Tx and on-site USA wide
We can offer on-site courses in any country worldwide where there are no travel restrictions.
We offer general training courses, specialist and bespoke training. In addition we can design and present complete training courses from your specifications.
Our open courses are more general in nature however each is designed to give your staff the training they need. Also, depending on the number of attendees and the advance knowledge, we can cover your specialised requirements to a greater depth.
Gaddon trainers are all specialist, qualified engineers with the practical experience in field Radio Frequency engineering and EW engineering to enhance the learning environment.
We carry out Training Needs Analysis and Course design to match you requirements precisely, so we can ensure the course is right for you.

Gaddon offers the following modular based courses. The course descriptions are for the open courses and are the basis for tailored on-site courses. All courses, both open and on site, can be tailored to cover specific requirements as required.
Electronics:
1. Introducing electronics for Radio Frequency Engineering: 2 day Electronic techniques and components use in the Radio Frequency (RF) engineering field.
2. Electronic Engineering Test Equipment techniques: 2 day This course covers the use of basic test equipment (TE), Oscilloscopes, Multi-meter etc. to test components and circuits, including practical exercises.
3. Electronic Fault finding techniques: 1 day. Looking at the different fault finding procedures, use of test equipment and No Fault Found techniques. This course looks at the fault finding techniques rather the actual use of the TE
Radio Frequency Engineering:
1. Radio Frequency Engineering Fundamentals: 2 day This two day course provides an overview of the various RF techniques, systems and test equipment currently used in the RF engineering field. As it uses the minimum of mathematics it is suitable for all levels of understanding and can be an introduction to allow personnel to appreciate RF terms and techniques or as an entry course allowing the participant to go on to gain more benefit from further specialized short courses.
2. Understanding RF Engineering: 1 day A seminar covering the basic of RF engineering looking at two current applications.
3. Digital Modulation and Frequency Multiplexing Techniques: 1 day The DMFM course is an Instructor led one day seminar covering many of the Digital Techniques used in the Radio Frequency spectrum. It has been designed to give engineers new to RF engineering and digital modulation the basic knowledge they need to facilitate carrying out their duties more efficiently and with a greater understanding of the techniques used.
4. Radar Techniques: 2 day This course looks at airborne, ground and Doppler radar techniques.
5. Radio Frequency Engineering Advanced course: 5 day This course is similar to course 1, Introduction to Radio Frequency Engineering; however it goes into greater depth and also includes the mathematic elements. As it is more in depth the the RF Engineering Advanced course is tailored to the customers requirements to make the training more relevant. As such, prior to the course taking place, a Training Needs Analysis is carried out.
6. Electromagnetic Compatibility / Electromagnetic Interference (EMC/EMI): 2 day This course looks at the sources of EMI and the problems caused along with EMC solutions for both maintainers and designers.
7. Software Defined Radio Introduction 1 day. This seminar looks at the capabilities of SDR, the software and hardware aspects and integration within various systems.
8. Radar and Electronic Warfare Techniques. 4 day This 4 day course gives a general overview of the basic RADAR techniques and the Electronic Warfare techniques that may be used in an operational environment. Without going too deeply into the complex mathematics associated with modern radar systems the course looks at the operation of Radars, antenna and the associated EW techniques. Note this course only covers unclassified material.
General Engineering Courses:
1. Systems engineering 2 Day. An overview course looking at the aspects of Systems engineering Systems analysis and System Requirements specification.
2. Configuration Management: 1Day seminar This seminar looks at the requirements of Configuration management covering all aspects of engineering, not just software, and the techniques available for engineering projects. This also looks at how configuration management is used throughout a project in all aspects not just related to software and asset management
3. Engineering Artificial Intelligence (AI) Introduction 1 day seminar looking at how AI can be used in an engineering field, the requirements for implementation and anticipation of procedures and restrictions.
